PwC Legal response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19)

Given the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and its declaration by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as a public health emergency, PwC Legal has taken actions to ensure the safety, health and wellbeing of our people, clients, guests, suppliers and contractors.

We have implemented a quarantine policy for our own staff coming back from any infected areas. We will continue to follow updated information from the WHO regarding restricted travel as well as follow further instructions.
Don't hesitate to reach out to your PwC Legal contact in case you have any question regarding the measures we have taken or on our events.

The steps we have taken internally
We are closely following the recommendations of the local and international health authorities - including those of the surrounding countries - and we're communicating on a regular basis with our teams.
Concretely, we have put in place the following steps:

  1. Establishing a dedicated team to monitor the situation daily and to ensure business continuity.
  2. Focusing on our people who have travelled to the WHO identified countries and asking them, as a precaution, to stay at home for a 14-day quarantine period when they come back from their travels.
  3. Discouraging, for the time being, unnecessary travel for private or professional reasons.
  4. As from Monday 16 March, maximising the use of Home Based Working.
