Marielle is co-head of the Employment and Dispute Resolution departments of PwC Legal. She has specialized in employment law from the very early stages of her career and consequently has acquired in-depth knowledge of all aspects of employment law and social security. She has in addition developed an expertise in commercial and civil litigation, including arbitration.
Marielle is also a member of PwC Legal’s Management Board and is in charge of its internal HR strategy.
Marielle has assisted numerous international companies setting up a new business in Luxembourg with implementing HR documentation, policies and formalities. She has also been involved in managing HR legal aspects of outsourcing and similar restructuring projects and assisted companies with the complete process of collective redundancies. She has advised on expatriation, secondment and immigration and implemented stock option plans and other types of employee incentive schemes. She also handled employment litigation, including high profile unfair dismissal claims and enforcement of restrictive covenants.
As part of her experience in dispute resolution, Marielle has handled large shareholders & partnership disputes. She has also been involved in litigation cases dealing with professional liability, enforcement of securities, director’s liability, insolvency and debt recovery.
Marielle is one of the founders and board members of the "Employment Law Specialists Association, Luxembourg" ("ELSA"), which she has chaired for 5 years. She is also involved in various professional associations in the HR field and is notably a member of the HR Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg.
